My village is Nikawewa.It is a small village in Kurunegala  District.There  are  nearly two hundred families  in  my  village.This is an agricultural area.Most  of the  village are  farmers.They  grow  paddy  and  vegetables. There  is  a  vast  strech  of  paddy  field in my  village.farmers  abtain  water  from the village  tank fore   there  cultivation  purposes.There  is a  hospital,a co-operative  shop and a historical temple  in my  village.There  are  several government  servants  too here.Most  of  them are  teachers.There  is a  death  donation  society  in  my  village.The  villagers  are  very    friendly.There  know  the  value  of  self  help.Villagers  live  happily  and  peacefully.I love  my village.
